Well, looking for a pratice set, I might be better of looking locally, but I thought I would ask you guys, I have $500 to spend, drums only no hardware or cymbals, I would prefer somehting like a Pearl (other quality drum) around mid 80's but I'm not that particular, especially when I have a budget, if anyone has ideas, I'm open.

At this time of the year, you can usually pick up an older model NOS import/lower line kit for next to nothing. Check GC, TB, and the like for closeouts. These things are great practice/gigging kits for under 500. Mapex, Gretsch, etc have their lower lines. Seriously good deals on those kits. If you're looking for Vintage...right now, ebay has gobs of 'em for under 500. Unreal deals to be had.
