I have a ludwig classic maple snare drum, and it has a ludwig p-85 throw off on it. And i'm starting to despise it. I want to buy a nice throw off for it, but don't really want to drill any new holes for it unless I have to. Are there any quality throw offs I could buy that would fit like a p-85?

More specifically with the Dunnett R Class throw-off fit?

The Dunnett has a slotted design which allows it to accommodate various screw spacings, but I think the 2.5" hole spacing of a P-85 is just too far. You can do a Ludwig P-86. Another option is the RCK strainer from Drum Foundry, which has an optional adapter for 2.5" Ludwig hole spacing.
