From Ludwig-dude

The ludwig snare is a Pioneer model, not a supraphonic. Supraphonic snares were metal snares, not wood.

Pardon me ...It was early in the morning here in Japan . Hadn't had my cup of java yet . That looks like an 8 lug snare to me - Jazz Festival . 6 lug is a Pioneer .

I often dream about stuff like this. Great find and rescue!

If insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results, is it insane to practice?

Are you sure?......the spacing appears to be 6-lug from what I can tell from the limited picture.......

Number make sense as those are from around 1969 - same as the metal snare drum which obviously was bought with the kit .
