Nice thing about the Wrights is it doesn't do a strip-job...it would take about 4 or 5 applications to completely remove the patina from a vintage cymbal. 2 or 3 apps will get rid of the green blotches but still leave a good amount of patina.

It'll even leave the ink logos intact, the Wrights.

For a complete strip-job, cymbal back down to bare bronze, brand new-ish, Sabian Performers Cleaner or Groove Juice. But Wrights isn't that acidic.

Jaye, I'm sorry, but I am pretty much loving the Amirs right now.

I will let you know if I ever want to part with them, but it won't be for a while (unless some other crazy 21 year-old kid wants to sell me his New Beats)!

I have yet to polish them all, but yes, I am going to see about your advice regarding the other parts.

I agree, I should sell the A Custom Ping Ride. I don't care much for the ping sound... The 22" vintage Avedis ride is sounding SO good, and I don't need two. Liquidation time.

Question: the cracked Avedis... it sounds like a crash. Is it still worth putting rivets in if I drill because it's not a ride? What do you think about the rivets being right near the bell rather than 1" from the edge like most other sizzle rides?

Should I just drill anyway if it doesn't have any grating noise?
