Need Help on a Paiste 602

From lightning

The red size stamp should be inside the bell. The black hand stamp or the embossed Paiste logo? Serial numbers started about 1971.Yes... the Sound Creation line started in 1976, the embossed logo was round and the hand stamped Paiste logo was black. It sounds like you have two very rare cymbals. Can you post a photo?

I don't have the 602 yet! The Soundcreation is in the studio with my kit. I'm going to see the 602 this week, & will try & post photos asap....thanx...mike

Hey Mike you are welcome.

Just to be clear, the first SC was the Fo 602 DARK RIDE in 1976.

I think in 1978 or '79 the embossed Paiste logo was replaced with an embossed Sound Creation round logo and used until 1981. Than it was replaced with a round black ink logo. I have seen a few with both embossed & black ink logos on the same cymbal.

BTW Moniker has nothing to do with my drumming!

Here's a photo of the embossed Paiste logo from a Transitional SC Dark Ride 1978. It does not have FORMULA 602 at the bottom of the logo.
