Need help identifying this drum Last viewed: 7 seconds ago

Hi guys, I recently acquired this bass drum with a bunch of other drums. It is made of fiberglass and only has one head. The exterior is smooth flat black, but the interior is raw with a glazed coating. There is no badge on it but the hardware on the drum looks to be Ludwig. The drum measures 22x22. Any help would be appreciated. I tried searching the internet, but could not find anything similar.

Thanks

Looks like it could be an old Pearl shell with Ludwig lugs added. Maybe it was used as a concert bass? I'll bet it rattles the cupboards!

I'd like to pose the possibility that this drum is a Blaemire custom built for someone specific, like a "tour"set.Who else made fiberglass drums? To my knowledge, there is no factory fiberglass bass that deep.But-what do I know?

Thanks for the info. I have never heard of Blaemire drums. I'm looking forward to restoring this beast and putting it to good use.

Teverson-Sr. You are part right on the shell. But i don't think it's a Blaemire custom shell if it was it would be more Green color to the fiberglass, not a brown color..Yes i think it's a custom made shell maybe by someone at home, boat or by some other company with Ludwig lug's and parts.Ludwig did not make a faberglass shell that i know of...Mikey

Not a Blaemire...

It would have an internal tag imbedded in the resin that said A.F. Blaemire.

Looks to be the color of a Pearl or Fibes fiberglass shell, but could be a custom shell of some type as has been stated. It should sound huge!
