Need help identifying an unusual strainer

Loading...

Hey Y'all. I've searched high and low for what type of strainer is on this snare drum. I am getting ready to sell it, and I'd like to have the auction listing be as accurate as possible.

The drum has no markings whatsoever. The lugs appear to be Slingerland circa 1940, and the creamy Pearl color seems to match that time frame.

The history I know about the drum...... Family member was in a jazz band in the 40's in NYC. This piece has been sitting in a closet in KY since about 1965. Skins are still in surprisingly good condition for their age. (Though I wouldn't hit them with a drum stick, afraid it would go right through!)

I have the original key/wrench, 6" cymbal, rod to hold it, and the original 15 strand drum wires.

Any suggestions about the type of strainer, ideas on where to auction it (EBay is what I planned) and thoughts on it's value. I'm open to any and all advice you can offer.

Thank you!!

Sorry y'all, I couldn't figure out how to get my three photos at 2 mb each, down to the less than 49kb file size requirement. Link to the photos is now on my original post and now here too:
