need help identifying an acrylic kit

Good afternoon Gentlemen,

i'm in a need of your wisdom.

I've came across a guy whose selling a set of these:

Definitely doesn't look like Sonor to me - the top lugs on the toms are different, then the bottom lugs, and look like old Premier, while the bottom seem similar to Sonor. There's no bass drum spurs attached to the shell, and the badge doesn't ring a bell.

The mounting system looks like Amati, but the bass drum and tom brackets are incorrect. i've gone through Sonor catalogs, but can't find anything similar, and i'm getting baffled by this one.

Can anyone point me to the right direction?

I've asked the seller for more pictures, but had no reply yet.

The most of the Hardware on this set is AMATI(Tomholder,Lugs) the bottom lugs on the racktoms look like TROWA to me. It´s definetly no SONOR thats for sure! More like a Frankensteinkit:-) The brackets on the Toms look like the are homemade!

regards

That's what I thought, however as far as I know Amati and Trowa/Tacton never made acrylic drums.

Big yes for all points, Chris, you nail it !!!

There were some private drummakers in former USSR who have made custom acrylic shells.

Cheers,

George.

Thanks for the input guys,

i do think that's the case. If this is so this has next to no resale value and it's probably not worth of getting into restoring it.

Unless i can get i REALLY cheap :)

If you want to know if the shells are SONOR, the FT will have 9 lug holes.

It`s a drum,.....Hit It !!
