Need 6" X 5" BDP wrap to patch up Bassdrum.

Hi Folks,

The restoration of my 1966 BDP Ludwig Super Classic is completed.

Although I'm very happy with the project overall, I'm not totally satisfied with the patch-up-work I did on the bass drum. The difference in color is inevitable I suppose but what is most disturbing to me is the difference in pattern of the BDP. The "new" piece has a slightly smaller design. This was also the first time I did this kind of work so I guess the second time can only go better.

Question for you guys,...

Who can help me with a 6" by 5" piece of 1960's Black Diamond pearl ?

Thanks

Your patch job looks good in the pic. I think most people would not notice it unless you pointed it out. But if you are like me then it will bug you if its not perfect. I dont have the BDP peice that you need, just wanted to say you did a good job with the one in the pic. Good luck!

Thank you!

Thanks Mikey, that's super !!! PM me and we''ll work out the costs.

JC is correct that from a distance nobody would notice the patch-up-work but the entire kit is in such an amazing overall condition that it would be a crime not to go for the best possible job.

I'm sure I'm not the only one in this community with that twisted sense of perfection when it comes to restoring "old drum kits",...

Hi James,

I got the piece for free from ST Drums Germany, I only had to pay the shipping.

If I'm able to remove it without damaging you can have it for free but I'm not sure if shipping it from Europe to US will be worthwhile.

I would not have made the patch squared,..I`d make it saw tooth or some other acemetrical pattern !!

It`s a drum,.....Hit It !!
