NDD: Pulling the trigger on these

New drumset day: I cut a deal with the seller last night and will pick these beauties up perhaps next week. Seventies Slingerland Red Tiger Pearl kit in the correct sizes. The seller was having a tough time unloading them. He even took them to a drum show and couldn't sell them. He's a nice guy who agreed to meet me halfway. I'm very happy with the way it worked out.

Bob: That's a beautiful Slingy drum set. Did you buy the chrome snare drum with the red drums? Or do you have enough snares without that one? My guess on the sizes is 22-12-13-16.

No matter how far you push the envelope, it is still stationery.

Hi Bob! That's a great looking Slingerland kit! Not sure why they didn't sell, even at the drum show, but that was good news for you! Looking forward to more pictures after you get them.

Yes, I'm getting the snare drum too. I had a chrome Krupa snare a while ago and didn't love it, so we'll see what this one is like. I'm waiting for the seller to tell me when I can pick them up. I already have the second generation Set-o-Matic tom holder, as well as the single arm. The sizes are 22/12/13/16. I have the same set in Sky Blue Pearl. I can't deal with that 1st generation Set-o-Matic. The adjustment factor is too limited.

I'm curious how much he was asking before selling them to you and how much you actually paid. Maybe he had them priced too high.

Nice kit!

I'll be happy to spill all the details after they're in my possession. The seller could be a member here.
