Mystery Y BD Pedal

I had a great day! Instead of sleeping in and wasting the day, I got up at 8 and I had all my slacking done by noon!

Interesting pedal. Not sure what make it is, although one would be inclined to think Yamaha, based on the "Y" on the heel plate. I doubt it's a Yamaha, though.

I had one of these pedals years ago. It's one to which I made reference in an earlier thread - a vintage Asian attempt to knock-off (at least in overall appearance) the 1960's era Premier Model 250 bass drum pedal from Great Britain. I don't believe it is an early Yamaha product, although it's possible. Whoever manufactured it should be ashamed. It is a poorly conceived waste of resources. The castings are of the lowest quality imaginable - more like aerated sandstone than metal, and will break in half, undoubtedly accounting for why so few remain on the planet!

However - The riddle is solved!

No longer do the letters on the footboard remain a mystery!

The "Y" stands for "Y"ou'll be sorry!"
