Interesting pedal. Not sure what make it is, although one would be inclined to think Yamaha, based on the "Y" on the heel plate. I doubt it's a Yamaha, though.

I had one of these pedals years ago. It's one to which I made reference in an earlier thread - a vintage Asian attempt to knock-off (at least in overall appearance) the 1960's era Premier Model 250 bass drum pedal from Great Britain. I don't believe it is an early Yamaha product, although it's possible. Whoever manufactured it should be ashamed. It is a poorly conceived waste of resources. The castings are of the lowest quality imaginable - more like aerated sandstone than metal, and will break in half, undoubtedly accounting for why so few remain on the planet!
However - The riddle is solved!
No longer do the letters on the footboard remain a mystery!
