Mystery drum. Alleged Premier.

Loading...

I have been given a ‘Premier’ snare drum to tidy up and evaluate.

It looks nothing like any Premier that I have ever come across … square head lugs, 'different' snare tensioner, and a shell (metal) with ring of depressions around it.

It has a Premier badge that is held on with a nut like that on a guitar jack socket.

All a bit strange?

Any ideas?

Seems like someone applied the Premier logo to one of those made in Taiwan snares that are sold under various names (CB700, VMI, Kima, etc).
