Mystery cymbals

Loading...

They look like a Chinese brand called Agazarian. B20, sound trashy and are actually not too terrible for cheap cymbals. All someone would have to do is remove the ink logo with a product such as Goof-Off.

They could be older Italians that someone polished a while back, but my money is on Chinese.

Incidentally, I was told by a guy at Guitar Center that Agazarian is just Wuhan stencil branded for GC. It makes sense in bringing together the Chinese mystery, but I always shake my head that Ag is always about a 30% markup from the Wuhan price at GC. Why carry both?

These look just like the Chinese cymbals I rented a couple of months ago for a sudden surprise gig that popped up while I was on vacation. I could have rented any brand in the store for the same price - I actually chose these. Dark, thin, trashy, not bad at all, with the same wide lathing as on yours. I ended up buying the hats for $10 and I still enjoy them on my practice kit. I'm guessing that Wuhan pumps these out warts and all.
