Hey Paiste guys. I came across this ad on my local
Classifieds for this unidentified 17" crash cymbal. As a vintage Paiste collector and user for quite some time, I'm thinking this might be an 80's Paiste 2000 series or maybe a 602 judging by the lathing? Can anyone else shed some light on this mystery crash cymbal ? Is it even a Paiste? Kinda looks like one to me.

Looks exactly like a generic Wuhan crash that I have. These are the kinds of cymbals that came with the PDP "EZ" Kits. Also those "Agazarian" cymbals that come with the SLP stuff at GC. It's not to say that they are bad. They are dark and kind of trashy sounding. These are basically unbranded Wuhans, and again, are made as the "comes with" cymbals for a few different entry level drum sets.
As far as I know, all these cymbals were made in 16" sizes, but someone could have measured wrong in the ad (measured the cymbal right side up so the bell would interfere with the measurement e.g. make it bigger than it actually is).
That's my thought. If I am correct, it's still B20, hand hammered bronze.

Definitely not a 602. No 17" would have a bell that large. And the lathing is definitely not Paiste either.
Thanks for the responses. I had my suspicions that this wasn't a Paiste, as it didn't have any visible serial number under the bell as Paiste cymbals usually have.
