My Yamaha 70's kit. Info needed.

Loading...

Here's my 70's Yamaha kit. It does sound amazing, although I know practically nothing about them. I'm told it's a pre 1975 kit, and could be a YD-kit. Maybe someone here knows some more about these drums?

Remo Vintage A on the batter side, coated A on resonant side, coated and smooth white Powerstroke 3 on the bass drum. I am the second owner (got them one week ago). Got a Yamaha bass drum pedal, hihat stand, snare stand and a cymbal stand as well + some Paiste Formula 602, hihat from the 60's and a 19" medium cymbal from 1974.

Don't like the color - but that is quite a kit! Vintage and minty!! I bet it sounds amazing, especially the snare.

I had a great day! Instead of sleeping in and wasting the day, I got up at 8 and I had all my slacking done by noon!

Thanks guys! I am very happy with the kit. It does sound great! So much fun to play.

I've put on a logo on the bass drum front head today.
