Yes - the right place at the right time for sure!

Very nice find sir. I noticed right away that the thumbscrew tension system is pretty much identical to what's on my 1926 Gretsch snare.

If that wrap is original - what a find

I did post other pictures, but they don't appear to be on my earlier post. I also have a bass drum with the same WMP wrap. It also came with a Slingerland duco tacked tom I do believe, a woodblock, a zildjian cymbal that dates from the 40's-50's, a pair of Ludwig sticks, two stands (one being a Ludwig stand) and a Leedy bass pedal that supposedly pre-dates 1925. It seems possibly whoever had this set played it for several years, and made do with what they could get their hands on. The only thing that bothers me is that I have no history on the set itself... the biggest kicker of this find is that I purchased this set at a thrift store that is a donation center and all the proceeds go towards helping individuals in our community who are going through difficult times. So this set was a donation, and I even asked the owners if they knew who had brought it in, but no one knew. It will forever remain a mystery to me!

JimJames!...

Post your other pic now... the problem was that you can only post ONE picture in your INITIAL post, as they ALL get inserted up on the main header bar if there are more than one in the initial post. I had to edit the other one out... but! ... put that baby back in at any time now! Enjoy!!

Ohh alright! Well here is another pic, of the bass, the slingerland tom, the woodblock, and the cymbal. At least I think its a woodblock... I'm sure theres another name for it, but It's early, and I'm drawing a blank.

It`s a woodblock !!

You`de find a kit like that in the teens & twenties at the Ballroom or nightcub, wedding ect.

It`s really nice to view history. What cymbals did it come with ? (as in stamp)

It`s a drum,.....Hit It !!

Well it only came with one cymbal, and its a zildjian. I was told it is from the 40's-50's, and it also came with a set of Ludwig brand sticks. My jaw literally dropped when I stumbled across this drum set, and thanks for the input!
