My Next Vintage 1960's Premier Drum Kit Restoration

Loading...

This is an early Premier kit ive just bought. I paid a very low price for it. The condition is pretty good but needs to come up to my standards. Once I get the drums I can show better plus more pics. Plus full info on condition. I have all the flush base stands to go with this kit so it will be as per catalogue once ive finished. It also comes with original sticks brushes and premier cases. Going down to London for the pick up. ....... Thanks for now sean.

Sean,

Those are beautiful drums ! I like the Premier drums with the "Batmobile" style lugs.

I have a Gretsch kit in a very similar wrap, my favorite of all !

Good luck with the refurb.

Michael

Boy they look really nice. Great to start with such a nice example. Wrap is a favorite of mine. What is the diameter of the floor tom? Looks larger than 16"? Matching snare is a bonus.

Glenn.

Not a guru just havin fun with some old dusty drums.

The floor tom is pre international 16". Probably the way the seller took pics. The snare is a premier 2000 but was wrapped to match professionally in London 1968. The kit was bought 1964 then this snare was added later. The original snare was sold separate which was the royal ace. A great bit of history. Plus have all the original 1960's flush base stands and zildjian cymbals. In the pics the stands etc etc are not original all cymbals and flush base are in a drum case. I must set this up its like ringos with the 18" crash ride and 20"crash ride and 14" hats. I also got all the premier drum cases with the kit. But wrong colour. A real piece of 1960's premier drum history. They will go on sale but I just cant let em go yet I love the sound. Even the heads apart from bass drum are original ever play.
