Of course I paid too much for it but they are extremely rare here as the import duties were so high in the 60's that these were incredibly expensive. It's a mystery as to how this one went undetected for so long.
However, it was in poor shape. The mounted tom turned out to be a Japanese drum with a similar wrap and Ludwig hardware, the consolette rail was wrong, the badges had been removed, the muffler was missing from the FT, it had old chrome hoops, the BD cymbal holder was missing and it was filthy. Well I've managed to track down all of the parts needed. The BD hoops are new from Drummaker.
Well here it is now, and sounding pretty good I might say too. I have tracked down a '64 Supraphonic that is in transit so it's pictured here with my Dynasonic.
