My new Slingy snare Last viewed: 10 seconds ago

I snagged this off of ebay last week and got it today. It has a keystone luddy badge on it, but it's definatly a slingy. Someone rewrapped it in leapord contact paper and put a ludwig badge on it. The lugs, throw off, butt, all are slingy. it has a date stamp inside the shell dated dec 1960. its 5 1/2 X 14 I peeled the contact papert back and it looks like a natural finish underneatth or someone took the wrap off of it. Can anyone identify this snare and tell me which slingy snare it is?

It started life as a natural finish. It was not originally wrapped. The M stamp designates it to be a natural finish. If it was wrapped it would have a P inside. It's a 3 ply shell. Mahogany on the inside, poplar in the middle. It might be Maple on the outside, but it also might be Mahogany (due to the date). My guess is that it's a Student Model Snare. That would be the correct size, lugs, strainer, hoops, etc. Others can chime in now. That's a good start on the ID.

Here's my Student Model Radio King... might be it?? It's a 1960, I believe, with an M stamped inside, also.

I would like to identify this drum and put the correct badge on it and rewrap it in ssome real cheetah drum wrap lol or maybe red sparkle lol
