this is my new project in progress. my bass needs some work but first it will be my toms here are some pics, i just finished one tom and i will start the other one tommorrow. i thought i would put some before and after pics. take a look and give me your thoughts.Yes Sir

Cool color but I never saw a drum hoop with a sawed edge like that. Is that original?

drum shack you have good eyes, i cant believe it you caught me. the last picture of the tom in my snare stand has the original rim. the one i just finished has one original rim on the bottom and the top is a new rim i found. they are identical you really cant see the differance. unless you are drumshack of course. both rims are identical, if you look at both pics you can see they are damn near the same. i cant see how you were able to tell the differance. there both almost the same. LoLoLoLo

The wanna be drummers used to saw or grind down the rims so their sticks wouldn't get caught. Unbelievable, but true. I'm working on a guy that has an early 70's Rogers kit that's been sitting in his garage for twenty years. He ground down both rack tom top rims for that very reason. The first time I heard of that, back in the 70's I was amazed... And not a happy amazed either.

it almost looks like these rims were made that way. is this factory stock? the third picture has the rim i havent touched yet. is that original factor stock?
