My new old K....a 22" intermediate stamp

Loading...

It's an intermediate stamp weighing 2378 grams. There's some evidence that its been polished slightly on the front and on the back. The back of the bell remains untouched and this preserved the signature. It has an "umbrella shape" profile. The bell size is slightly less rounded and just slightly smaller than what's normally found on the most intermediate stamps. It's actually more typical of a new stamp, so I think its a later intermediate.

Sweet sound file! How do you record and what stick do you use? Also, excellent photography, cymbals are one of the hardest things to photograph...

So in regards to a time frame or year, what are we looking at?

Thanks for the compliment. Yes, you so right. Cymbals can be very difficult to photograph because of how reflective they usually are, and this one being as shiny as it is makes it even harder than most. But over the years I've developed a system.

I made this soundfile using an André Ceccarelli stick, which has been now been discontinued.

The vintage for this trademark era would be about 1960 to 1964. But I'm guessing that this one would be close to 1964.

I added a new soundfile that I think represents the actual sound of this cymbal more accurately.
