Loading...

After deliberating with my forum friends, i made the decision to go ahead and get the luddy downbeat kit over the rogers (buddy rich kit ) rewrap.

I tuned it up last night and practiced it with the band ....it did great for rockYes Sir..

I just had to answer questions like ( what midget is gonna play that kit) and (is that a first act kids kit) lol.

so what do ya think

Man, the wrap is VIBRANT and bright!

It appears you have a Rogers Swiv-O-Matic cymbal tilter married to a Ludwig bass drum cymbal arm and a couple other Swiv-O-Matic stands, too.

If you take good care of that drum set, then it will repay you again and again and again! That's one of the nicer complete Downbeat kits I have seen in some time. Most of the time, the champagne sparkle sets I see are a bit dull and faded. But yours is really vivid and lovely-looking.

If I were you, I'd at least start putting together a complete 60's Ludwig hardware package -just to have it to go with the drums -for photos and stuff. Even if you prefer to use other stands and pedals, it would behoove you to have the right stuff for posterity's sake. Like I say, there aren't too many nice Downbeat kits with the matching Downbeat snare drum out there, anymore.

You chose well, Grasshopper!Party
