My new bass drum logo

Loading...

It's a nose-thumb to drum snobs. Paradoxically, perhaps, my 30-year-old CB700 "Asian firewood" kit is my gig kit, while I leave the Slingerlands safely home for recording and practicing.

The CB's get compliments since I wrapped them in the mint green sparkle vinyl, and they sound pretty good in a live setting, too. But underneath the tasteful wrap, they're made of that forbidden substance.

I was going to come up with some kind of fancy "Asian firewood" logo, but this other concept came to me in a flash and took over. Nobody will get it but drum geeks, which is the target audience.

This is my first shot at it, just printed it out on the LaserJet, but I like it so far. I think it's ready to commit to a decal cutter. Thought you all might get a chuckle from it.

Haah! That's delightful. I thought of getting a coated white head and putting a "king Louie" logo on the front with the "Louie" in the Ludwig script.

Be sure to consult Daddynowhere regarding working together or perhaps to pick his brain for know-how. He is the Decal guy here (if you did not know already).

BTW - I like your decal! I might be the single-most vocal MIJ enthusiast on here --- for a reason.

I had a great day! Instead of sleeping in and wasting the day, I got up at 8 and I had all my slacking done by noon!

I was really stumped by "Lauan", as I was always under the impression it was spelled "luan". Turns out both are correct. Learned something new!
