I see so many that are covered with minor or major acne and then I see a few now and then that are museum quality like this one. Maybe they washed their hands better that day and measured the right quantities of chemicals in the chrome plating process better on a given day. Does anyone know roughly what percentage are "near perfect"? Is there a list showing how many supraphonic 400's were made year-by-year? I've only seen badge lists that include "all" drums made per year by Ludwig. I have a 7/15/66 supra that is also in this same condition that I will be cleaning after the rest of my '67 WMP Downbeat set is polished up (should be within the next 30 days at the current rate).

WOW btreat your snare looks AMAZING! i could look at that for hours

i'd have no idea how many supras were made year by year. The only thing i've seen as well is the number of total drums made. It'd be interesting to investigate!
