Hi Bryan,

You will be happy with this KingBeat snare drum. It's a so much underrated well-sounding snare (some place it in the range of Supra's or even better).

Star and also Tama (the early Tama) used the same very heavy shell with these two characteristic grooves in the middle of the shell, and the same parallel strainer, but partly placed different lugs.

I had another look at the snare tonight, and it has the proper capped nuts on the opposite side of the strainer so I have a sample of the correct ones and only need 2. I'm a little worried to be taking that mechanism apart for cleaning...lots of pictures first, I guess!
