Larry, I'm liking early 70's on this kit. Would you provide some serial numbers?

I usually don't like plain, stark white drums, but those look great.

Hello if I recall correctly there aren't serial numbers on these just a large P stamp on the inner shells.

And thanks DrumBob! I live your book by the way ...😀

Sorry Larry, failed to mention the serial numbers are on the badges.

The bass drum is serial 101xxx, the floor tom 105xxx and smaller toms 104xxx. That makes it mid 1970s right?

The wonderful thing about early 70's Slingerland drums is that they were still made pretty much the same as the fantastic late 1950's and 1960's Slingerland drums.

No matter how far you push the envelope, it is still stationery.

Late 609's--early 70's Slingies depending on which dating charts you use. They were definitely made at least a few years before the bicentennial in 1976. the horrible white sparkle strips of wrap were falling apart (delaminating) when I bought these drums from a guy who had them piled in a heap on his screen porch. The blue and the red strips cleaned up beautifully. I replaced the white strips and the hoop inlays with a vintage WMP that Precision cut to size for me. This 12-14-20 drum set is complete with my Radio King 4x13 snare drum.
