My ebay buy, some questions

Got this for a nice price of $20. A 50s/60s Ludwig cowbell and block holder with both the cowbell and woodblock.

Looks like the holder is nickel, and the cowbell isn't in the best shape. What should I use to polish up the holder and cowbell as best as it can look?

Soft wire brush to remove the flake and a 'lil dab of

Flitz with an old toothbrush.

Take your time and let it sit a while.

Cowbelles always look a little like their namesake.

Exposed and Worn...

The Block is lovely.
