Here are some pictures of my gear. I no longer own the ludwig kits but everything else is gear I currently own and play on. The Slingy's are still in progress. Sorry for the poor quality. These are cell phone pics.

A few more pics. The snares top to bottom: 2013 Black Beauty, '69 supraphonic, 70's era COB Gretsch. The gretsch was originally sold with my dark brown kit. The champagne sparkle kit is a mid 60's slingerland. I also threw in a picture of me and the old mans guitar stash as it looked a couple of years ago. Behind it is a collection of fender brown face amps. I know its a drum forum but hey...

Nice kits, great photos...rock on! Yes, back in the day we had 2 Fender Showman amps, a Fender Band Master and, of course, a Bassman...all brown face...along with my Ludwig Gold Sparkle Hollywood kit. Oh, and all matching Gretsch Chet Atkins guitars.

This might be a dumb question but is the ludwig chrome wrapped or are the shells chrome?

The ludwigs are stainless steel. The only wood anywhere on the kit is the bass drum hoops.

The ludwigs are stainless steel. The only wood anywhere on the kit is the bass drum hoops.

When I first saw the pic, I wondered if those were stainless steel, because of the "concert tom" and what appears to be an oversized (16x18) floor tom. I wonder if these drums weren't part of a "split up" SS Octaplus set??
