Great pic, sorry for your loss. He must have been about 16? in that shot. Wow nice kit for a teenager, did you say first kit? Very nice pic, a real piece of history. Wish I had pics of my dad at that age.

Sorry for your loss, suggesting to dig more into docs and pics in you family possession or outside and create some homage web presence (any social network, like G+ to keep this alive for many years) - you never know what ppl might find and add to your family never ending history
