My apology.

:Santa:...I'm a retired player living in a tourist town, but my love for playing and collecting is still in high gear.

I love to buy gear that I think is a good deal, play it for awhile, then move it along to the next player. I enjoy that.

All the forums that I visit are US based, and the population is 90% US..and that's great. At times I forget the Cdn and US dollar are quite different these days, so I will plough forward, forgetting the hassle involved, with taxes, shipping, duty, exchange, and anything else they can squeeze out of us, until I wake up and say WTF!!!

I don't mean to intentionally waste your time, its just my lust for a lot of great, gear thats available. It wont happen again, I assure you, and to those I have done this dance with...I'm very sorry.

Hit like you mean it!!

Wayne, no need to apologize, we've all done this dance at some point in our vintage gear quest. After all, we're only human.Walking

johnnyringo is so right, Wayne! Hey, we don't control currency exchange, shipping fees or import taxes! We are just small-time players, sir. No need to apologize whatsoever!!!

I have had good luck with shipping to Canada thru USPS if possible. They do not have a Handling Fee for Customs, so compare total pricing for them and other shippers, not just shipping costs.

Marking the package as USED MUSICAL INSTRUMENT, NO COMMERCIAL VALUE seems to save on import duties as well.

Importing any Made in USA drums into Canada will not be subjected to duty, only HST where applicable...Any other non NAFTA countries of manufacture are subject to both duty and tax...

USPS is the cheapest to Canada, but, if the package gets held up in customs, they have a $9.95 handling fee over and above any tax owed that gets added on at the time of delivery...

Cheers
