was listed on the Portland Oregon Craig's list as late as October 4th
at that time the asking price was 500.00
which in of itself was reasonable for them
But shipping of a double bass kit from one coast to the other
would have been pricey
Not to mention that no shipping was being offered by the seller
The link for the listing can still be found but the ad itself has expired

I´ve never come across this type of the Star double tom holder being placed on top of a Star stand ...
The bottom of the stand is clearly and definitely Star made.
Can you see any welding on the upper part of the stand (indicated that it has been put there as a modification)?
And are there any extra holes in the bass drum (showing that there has been a tom holder bracket in place before)?
If not, this is a really rare and original bird.

It has concert toms !
I have never seen a double tom stand from that time period. And a virgin bass drum. This has to be half a double bass set.
Apparently it was !! I asked the guy,that I bought it from and he said he has the matching bass drum,tom and floor tom,but not selling them !! So,the hunt goes on to find a floor tom !!
I picked this up the other day and I would like to find another matching tom or floor tom !! Does any one know the name of the wrap ??? You can also e-mail me @ [email]albertsdrumming@gmail.com[/email] I have never seen a virgin bass drum from the 60's !!
