Kinda cool, but it looks like it'll be a lot of work to restore. Worth it? Can't tell original manufacturer from lugs...Star?

I was thinking the same thing. There seems to be quite a bit of wood damage and evidence of mucho moisture. Yeouch. Sorry Mikey. Not trying to sound negs after such a neato cheap purchase. Just seeing some roughness inside there.
I think that wood inside will clean up well !! The stains can be lightened but not removed !! You`re on your own with that hardware though !!

German drum ; there are threads and posts on this forum.------catch up----crappy in it's condition yes, but it's parts might come in handy. the drums have intrinsic merit and are worthy of rebuilding, especially in their elite incarnation.--------far beyond MIJ stuff.
Very nice ole drum - wow = $5 ! That's a cup of coffee.
Sheeesh - I thought I was doing well at $25 for a MIJ tom.
Your drum is a beauty.
Nice find
Nobody would have passed this up fpr 5.00. Its a cool drum.
