my 1955 18" Zildjian ride

Loading...

I bought this 18" ride new in 1955 when my instructor hand picked it from the selection at a NJ music store. It weighs 3.9 lbs / 1769 grahams on a UPS scale and is truly in perfect shape. It lays flat on a table with no waves or dents, no keyholing, never polished. It has been stored for 40 years and sounds great to my uneducated ears. The stamp is shown. Seems 40's to 50's I am told, but I am not an expert. What do I have here ? I wish to sell this at a fair price and can do E Bay, but prefer not to. Please E mail me with any questions.

Its better to have people think you're an idiot, than to open your mouth and prove them wrong, unless you doubt yourself then speak away....

Trans stamps are pretty hot right now. 17" would go for over 2 bills, maybe more.
