Music Store Decals

Loading...

Thanks to the thread "Did You Grow Up In A Mom & Pop Music Store?", I thought it would be nice to see different music store decals.

I'll start. This is on a mid 60's Gretsch Progressive Jazz Burgundy Sparkle kit.

I don't have any in-house at the moment, but I have had tags from Baltimore, MD and Hollywood, CA on drums I have purchased. Mostly though, I see black ink stamps on snare drum batter heads for different music stores. Wish I could photo the tags I've had, they're long gone now. I hope that whoever bought them from me never removed the old store tags.

Here is a cool inside label from my Blaemire kit...

Here's mine John, with the additional personalized "Andy Florio" labels. I have 3 or 4 of these throughout my original Blaemire kit.

This might be the original head on my Club Date snare drum.

I think there is also a sticker on the bass drum, I'll have to pull it out.

The sticker on my bass drum is Webb Music, so that snare head with the Gill Music stamp isn't the original head.

I was thinking that the set came from Jimmy's. I am the second owner.
