Muffler washer Gretsch

Loading...

Bought a Gretsch tom the other day missing both mufflers. I happen to have two muffelers in my parts box. Question is: Are there washers that fit between the muffler mounting screws and the outer shell. Or should the screw heads fit flush up against the wrap as pictured?

Yes - there is a chubby little washer that goes between the dial knob and the drum shell.

Hope this helps.

Yes, I have the washers for the dial knob's.The one pictured on the knob shaft in your picture. BUT, I do not have the larger one in the upper right on your picture. Does that washer touch the wrap and then also contact the washer on the knob? Two stacked washers?

It is the two screws that actually hold the muffler bracket to the shell that I had a question about. By the look of your picture I have the bracket attached to the shell correctly in my picture.

Thanks for your reply.

The only washer(s) you'll need is what you put on the outside of the shell (between the shell & the dial knob). That washer - a relatively thick one like in my photo - allows the dial to turn without rubbing against the shell. The larger washer in my photo is not suppose to be there - it's not the correct one. The photo was taken when I had a lot of parts laying around. I should have cropped it out - sorry.
