Ok! Ok! Since everyone is SOOOOO curious, I'll fill you in
I actually did start this for a friend, I had a conversation, via text, with this guy about trading some drums. He wanted my Leedy kit, I wanted one of his kits, but he kept trying to give me a snare and cymbal that I had no use for. He became agitated and said that I couldn't even play a simple 4/4 groove. I laughed and played along, I asked him to come to my drum room and show me how it's done. He says, nahh, I'm too busy practicing rudiments and odd time signatures, I told him that he was the only odd time signature I knew, hence the name, Mr. Odd Time Signatures.Bowing
Thanks Johnny, the world is a better place now!Excited
Heck, even I can play a 4/4 groove, how insulting was that? Life lesson - you never challenge somebody to do something you can't do! I had a much younger guy, a bodybuilder no less and a complete jackass, challenge me to a pushup contest. I was 50 years old, recently retired Army NG (infantry, we love pushups!Cool Dude) and he was 35. I went first and did 65 proper pushups in 2 minutes, and when he saw that, he made excuses and didn't even get down and do any! Well, the rest of the night didn't go well for him, because everyone rode him pretty hard and he left with his big arms and his tail between his legs. CryBaby
Anyway, is that why you still have the Leedy kit?
I actually just sold the Leedy kit to a dude in Connecticut.
