mounting id

Have bought a mixed bag of drums in a shell pack, given the era of the drums it pretty obvious to me that the tom mounts are not genuine and imo not unattractive. Fyi one drum is a 12'' pearl b/ship lugger and other is star stencil revelle 13'' tom.

Those are Star mounts. They don't interchange with anything else and are pretty limiting as far as placement goes. But I love BDP...There is a picture of one in the VDG-go to Tama drums/Star drum catalog pages/later star catalogs. There is a gold 5-piece with that mount.

I have these blue satin flame Apollo drums with those same mounts

it has double 12" and 13" mounted toms on a rail

But I only have one of the hex shaped rods which attaches to one of the two rail brackets

with the corresponding teeth that would mesh with that bracket on that tom.

I once found a guy on Craig's list (not local) with a odd assortment of orphaned toms

Attached to one of the toms was the needed piece I just described above

Try though I might, I could not even get the dude to respond to my inquiry

so yes they are pretty darned hard to find

Hello teverson-sr

Thanks about the Apollos

I love the color of them

I have some Duke drums in the avocado green satin flame

but those although complete are pretty battle scarred

in comparison these Apollos are very clean
