Mitch Mitchell Set up

From DEAGAN870

Here's a couple shots of mine. I think I have the right Rogers stands and Atlas HH stand as well. Even have this tuned as closely to what I hear on the Are You Experienced record.

that looks awesome!!!!!!

Pretty sweet set-up. Looks fantastic. Buck Rogers snare stand? The only difference I see is Mitch's bass has double telescoping spurs. That's a great HH stand, IMO.......marko

Yeah I didn't want to go all out and put on the double spurs and opted to leave well enough alone with the original bass drum. If I had found a bass drum with a single set of those spurs then MAYBE add the second set but I hate to bastardize anything like this. Not a Buck Rogers stand just an Atlas which is what it looks like Mitch uses in the photos. Buck Rogers base is very different. Got the original ching ring though...not a copy. Wish I could have met Mitch, one of my heroes!!!

Didnt he have a Premier set at one point with a 14x8 rack tom???

I'd jam out on that Isle of Wight kit for sure!

Ahhh... the 'Dirty Mac' band. And he screwed up the tempo change coming out of Clapton's lead break! Listen to it. Watch Lennon and Richards faces. Regardless, it's a great lineup, talk about a 'super group'!I was lucky enough to see Jimi Hendrix twice. Once with the 'Experience' (with Noel Redding) and the next time with Billy Cox on bass. The first time I saw him, Jack (?? last name, bassist with Jefferson Airplane) played bass and Noel Redding switched to rhythm guitar on a song... can't remember if it was 'Red House' or 'Voodoo Child'. Prob the later.

I don't suppose that first show was at Winterland in '68, was it? I have a live album culled from those gigs, and Jack Casady is on there.

Kits:
1950s Gretsch Name Band in Midnight Blue Pearl (13/16/22/14sn)
1965/66 Ludwig Club Dates rewrapped in Black Diamond Pearl (12/15/20)
