Mike was a decent obliging man always ready to help a fellow drummer. He pm,d me several times and gave me a heads up on who to avoid on here and other forums. He said a lot of these guys are bored and have little going on in thiier lives
Mike we will meet some day!!
I had known Mike for many years via forums although we did finally meet up in person at the past few Chicago drum shows once he began to attend, I'm shocked by the news. He was a great guy and always so helpful to anyone with a drum question. Both this forum and the DFO will suffer from his absence. Such a tragedy. My thoughts to his family.

So very sad and such a loss to his family, friends and vintage drum community. I have e-mailed and messaged back and forth with Mike so many time asking for insight and he never failed to be a wealth of knowledge and was always happy to give advice and information. I was hoping to meet him in person next year in Chicago . . . so sad
This is awful news. My thoughts are with the family.
Tragic and sad news. Just checking in for the first time in over a month here and see this horrible news.
Consoled in a way that I have a supraphonic he sold me a few years ago. His stuff was always meticulous. Mike was such a giving person. I feel like I knew him. He said he strapped my snare on the back of his bike and drove to the post office. Mike has hundreds of friends here and on DFO. He left a nice legacy amongst drummers.
Peace to his family and friends.
Can’t but repeat what has been said. Very sad. What was his handle here?
