I found this cool little MIJ kit at a local drum shop. It has a matching eight lug snare with a Ludwig throw off.

It is a cool kit, but that cymbal arm looks pretty dodgy to me, what with a cable on it to stop it falling over...

Here's the odd contraption after taking it off the kick. This is how it would look from the players prospective.The cymbal arm is to the right, that little rod in front is for a cowbell and the tom mounted from that slide type arm to the left. The whole gizmo was mounted on the kick with two bolts under the slide arm into two holes in the kick that were probably originally for a rail mount. The cymbal arm also slid into the Ludwig cymbal holder that's on the kick. Whew, that was a mouth full.
