I did find the flooring pdf on this page interesting, seems this product is not recommended for mahogany, which some would consider Luan i.e. Phillipine mahogany to be a type of. In reality though, I'm thinking it's actually closer to cork as both are highly porous. Luan is not specifically mentioned in the pdf.
