MIJ Gretsch?

Greetings,

I saw these while browsing Guitar Center's used inventory. I never knew Gretsch had MIJ stuff (other then the R-360/R-380 Series). I know the Blackhawk stuff that was MIT in the 80's, but this seems different than what I had seen.

Check out that mounting system. It appears to be a rail mount with Pearl Style arms. I wonder how that works?

I remember seeing those before, there were imported "Dorado" guitars too. Much like the 80's Blackhawk sets not "real" Gretsch drums at all.

BTW: the R-360 & R380 drums were imported by Rogers.
