MIJ Badge

GOT ONE !

Andrew, aka Fayray from New Zealand was nice enough to offer to send me one !

Thanks Andrew ! ! ! !

I posted this in the Wanted section then I just saw this forum and figured I'd try here.

I picked up a MIJ snare with a really unique wrap that I am restoring but the badge is completely unusable. Anyone have one of these round Made in Japan badges for sale?

I've got one you can have. It's not perfect but better than what you have and I don't want any money for it. PM me if interested

DO NOT use soapy water to ever wash that badge. I had one on a drum I was cleaning.....tried to clean the badge too - totally started to remove the ink. Mine looks bad compared to what it used to look like.

Cool snare. How was the badge made? Is it embossed stamped with raised lettering with ink applied or a decal over the aluminum disc? If just a decal will be easy to make. Embossed not so much.

Nothing special here but I like them.

Thanks for the info on the cleaning of the badge. I ended up destroying a Kent badge using Novus on it.

The badge is a stamped metal one, unfortunately not from a decal/aluminum sticker like the Kent badges. Fayray from New Zealand has offered to send me one !
