Came across this gorgeous piece of German engineering recently.

Twin post, internal spring mid '60's Sonor. It was probably standard with Rosewood Tear Drop kit's.

Anyone know?

That is a Sonor "Champion" drum pedal. I think they started with those in the late 60's. You found them more on Champion, Swinger and Phonics sets than teardrops if I am correct. You can see more info here:

I bought one of those new in '72.Nice,smooth action.Got ten years out of it,then switched to Premier 252's.

Yep, I think it's the German drum engineer's version of the "Tiger Tank".

I can't believe how good looking it is too!

It's sooo retro! If Rosie on the Jetson's played drums, this would have been the pedal she used...Jump For Joy
