Mid 1960's Premier kit

Loading...

Hi, I have what I believe is a mid 60's premier kit, poss model 55? in mahogany duroplastic? It looks standard but has a 14x8" hanging tom and 16" floor tom. All hardware seems to be original including the tom holder. Just wondering if anyone else has seen or has a similar kit? Most others I've seen, including in period catalogues, have 12x8 toms.

It's a great sounding kit that I love. It has a set of Lockfast stands and a 250 bass drum pedal.

I have one and I have seen many. 14" toms are very common on Premier kits. Keith Moon's toms were all 14"

Thanks Vinny. I restored mine. It needed the bottom rims and some lugs were missing/broken so I bought some extra toms from the same era, took the parts I needed and then resold them. It's now complete with heads on the bottom of the toms and in quite good condition. A friend bought the same kit in mahogany but his has the 12x8 hanging tom Ringo stylee.
