Didn't he kinda kill any value by re-wrapping and re-edging? And where's the original hardware for the floor toms, as I know Ludwig didn't make hanging floor toms in '68...

when did they make 15 inch hanging floor toms? sounds like to me he made this kit as a players kit and it probably kicks A$$ as one the value may be gone for a collector but as a vintage players kit with the cymbals depending on what they are it may have that much value...

I am certain they sound great. And maybe the good hardware and cymbals make it worth the $$$. But the drums are probably close to worthless as far as values go, I suspect.

Now, if the drums were barn-fresh: I can't say I would blame the guy for re-covering them and hot-rodding (as the hanging floor toms are probably a result of hot-rodding). I would hate to know they were recovered just because they had yellowed; that would make me a bit ill...
