Hello to all!!!

Well, I guess like everyone I'm fed up with the Spam posters. I have been manually deleting posts and banning and deleting them.

Last night I installed a new system, which I'm still testing that requires to become a new member that they must answer two questions.

I can set it to as many questions as I want and give multiple answers so as not to upset someone who has a hard time registering.

Here are the questions, just say yes or no if you think that everyone related to drums should easily answer them.

Do not post the answers please.

1. What drum does your right foot play?

2. What does Zildjian, Sabian and Paiste make?

They will need to answer both questions to become a member.

If you have a better set of questions, then I'm all (ears) eye balls.

Thanks

David

Here's my two cents worth....

What if you are left handed set-up, then you're left foot would be on the bass drum. I know dumb but worth a look.

Here's a few of my questions I'd like to submit:

What are matched and traditional?

What is a 5B?

What are a paradiddle, flam tap and flamacue?

What are a crash, splash and ride?

I could come up with more, but I have to help make dinner with my wife.

Its better to have people think you're an idiot, than to open your mouth and prove them wrong, unless you doubt yourself then speak away....

Some combination of those should do it. What do Ludwig make (and I could go on - but won't)? But the bass drum question is a bit "rightist".....

I have not had a chance to re-visit the questions.

Currently the question is about Zildjian, Sabian and Paiste.

We have had one spam post since I added this feature. We have not had any new Spam Registrations either.

I will rotate the question every month or two. Thanks for the feedback!

It has been 4 months and not a single spammer.

The new system is working great and saving me much

needed time.
