Happy to do my very first contact to you people!

I recently bought on ebay a March 1960 Ludwig 15" x 12" drum shell WMP .

I don´t have any other further info besides auction description.

Could some distinguished member, give to me some "light" over this drum?

I payed $50 final (shipp. inc)....... it was a bargain or just a fiasco??? L.O.L

this is a sweet shell, 3 ply shell, transition badge , so it is a 1958- 1959 model shell, appears to be a marching tom shell

Very nice shell. You did well especially since the case was included. I have a Ludwig transition badge bass with a 1960 date stamped inside, so the March 1960 date is accurate. Your shell would make a fine floor tom conversion.

Thanks to both!

I'll try to clean a little bit the "yellowing" of the shell....

Although I`m not the kind of "reissue" guy, I think a soft cleaning should give a new life to the WMP....

Consider it´s an early 60´s, It should be the "pyralin/celluloid" kind, right? (not the p.v.c/plastic wrap ), Which method would you reccomend me for that purpose?
