Once you get past the headline, they don't call the snare a Supraphonic... only that it has a "Supraphonic" strainer, which again as we all know, is inaccurate!!!

Also, an older catalog ('94) has two wooden snare drums listed on page 12 and has the word Supra-phonic beside them. This may have possibly been part of the confusion if it was referenced?
