Last year I bought a sparkle blue Bollero kit for the WFL Buddy Rich Superclassic that was on it. The kick turned out to be 22" pre-international (21 5/8"). I really didn't want to spend $180 having Remo custom make one for me. Today it rained here and I needed a project, so I went off to the hardware store to find screws that would accommodate several washers between the shell and the lugs. I just finished one side of the kick and put a test head on and it works like a charm! I left the other side pre-international for now so I can use the original calf skin head for a reso head. I'll post pics soon.

Here are some pics. You can see how i have raised the lugs on the batter side of the kick, but not the reso side yet. I had to be careful centering the 22" head on there, but it sounds like a bass drum.

I hadn't ever seen one either and I have no idea why this one would be. I can't find any info on whether they would have been marketed for the UK...Just odd! Anyway thanks to the fine reading material on VDF I attempted this transformation and it works just great.

Yup, just a Dixon snare that I have layin' around. Nothing fancy. Sounds nice, but I just got home with a COB Powertone so it's gonna lay around again.
